California Fruitcake

3/4 cup of flour
1/4 teaspoon of baking powder
3/4 cup of brown sugar
2 cups of dates
1 1/2 cup of apricots
1/4 teaspoon of baking soda
1/2 teaspoon of salt
3 cups of walnuts
3 eggs
1 teaspoon of vanilla

Sift into bowl the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Stir in brown sugar. Add dates, apricots and walnuts. Stir to coat with flour. Beat eggs until foamy. Add vanilla, mix until blended. Grease loaf pan and line with waxed paper. Bake in slow 300ºF. oven for 1 1/2 hours.
