Chicken & Stuffing Casserole

1/4 cup of melted butter
1/3 cup of chopped onion
5 cups of soft bread cubes
1/2 teaspoon of salt
pepper to taste
1/4 teaspoon of sage
2 1/2 tablespoons of cornstarch
1/2 cup of milk
2 cups of chicken broth
1 cup of cooked peas
2 cups of diced cooked chicken



Melt butter in frying pan. Add onion and sauté for 5 minutes. Combine bread cubes, salt, pepper and sage. Add to pan with onion, mixing well.
Combine cornstarch with milk in 2 quart saucepan. Add chicken broth. Bring to a boil over medium heat stirring constantly. Add peas and chicken.
Preheat oven to 350ºF.
Place half of bread stuffing mixture on bottom of greased 8 inch square baking dish. Pour half of chicken mixture on top. Repeat layers. Bake for 30 minutes. Remove from oven, and serve. Serves 6
