1 1/2 tablespoons of butter 1 1/2 tablespoons of flour 1/4 teaspoon of dry mustard 1 cup of milk salt and pepper to taste 3 cups of grated Cheddar or Parmesan cheese 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce 4 slices of toast 8 thick slices of leftover turkey Paprika
Melt butter in a saucepan. Stir in flour and mustard. Cook, stirring constantly, for 2 minutes. Gradually add milk and stir until boiling. Add salt and pepper. Add cheese and Worcestershire sauce, stir over low heat until cheese melts. Preheat broiler. Arrange toast in shallow baking pan. Place turkey slices on top and cover with cheese sauce. Brown under hot broiler. Remove from heat, and sprinkle with paprika and serve. Serves 4 |
